Padstow is a railway station on the Airport and East Hills Line of the CityRail network. Located in the Sydney suburb of Padstow, it serves a residential area. Padstow is an intermediate station with an island platform serving two tracks. It opened in 1931 with the opening of the East Hills railway line from Tempe to East Hills[1], and opened with only one track until the line to East Hills was duplicated in 1987.

[edit] Service
Padstow is currently an interchange in non-peak between 'all stations' trains to East Hills and 'limited stops' trains to Campelltown and Macarthur. Padstow is served mostly by 4 'all-stations' trains per hour and 4 'limited stops' trains via the airport, with some additional trains during peak hours.
[edit] Clearways
Under the Clearways Project, it is proposed that 4 tracks will pass through Padstow as a result of quadruplication between Kingsgrove and Revesby by 2010[2]. Local (all-stations) trains travelling via the Airport line will stop at Padstow (terminating at Revesby), and express trains to Campbelltown will bypass the station.
[edit] Accessibility
The station is equipped with Easy Access lifts for wheelchairs since about 2003.
