Paignton Rugby Football Club
Rugby Football has been played in Paignton since 1873, Paignton Rugby Football Club moved to its present Home Queens Park in 1902 and has been played there ever since. Paignton rugby club is affiliated to the DevonRFU
The club has a long history in the town, and has produced players who have gone on to Play at County or National Level.
At present as of the 2005/2006 season Paignton is in the Western Counties West League.
TEAMS
Paignton has a First XV, 2nd XV, 3rd/Vets XV, Ladies XV team who joined at the start of the 2004/2005 season.
The club also has a strong Junior section with teams From Under 7 up to u14, Plus teams for u14 and Under 17 girls. (2005/2006 season) To bridge the gap between Junior and Senior rugby the club also fields a Colts XV.
Rugby is played from September through to the end of April after which Cricket is played at Queens Park.
