[edit] The Official Start
In 1994, Painface officially started and changed their name to Slipknot. They made the album Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat in 1996. In 1997, Ismist Recordings signed Slipknot and Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat was put into stores. Only 1,000 copies were made. Later, they fired Anders, forced Cuddles out of the band, and the other members left, and they got Corey Taylor and many more members, so they had 9 members. Then in 1999 Slipknot released Slipknot instead of their other album Crowz. During that time, they were signed by Roadrunner Records, and still are today.
