[edit] Weber Company
I'll have to double check but I'm pretty sure the Weber Grill company has moved all operations out to Huntley, IL. now. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.167.209.156 (talk • contribs) 12:08, August 15, 2006 (UTC)
They still have design and corporate facilities in Palatine. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Levinr (talk • contribs) 20:25, September 7, 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Etymology of Palatine
Is there documentary evidence that Palatine was named after Palatine, New York (which is said to be named after the Palatinate in the Rhineland), rather than County palatine in England, or Palatine Hill (one of the seven hills of Rome)? --Blainster 19:09, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- As a resident of Palatine, I can verify that it is named after the Palatinate in Germany, not after Palatine, NY. Early settlers of Palatine were Germanic, along with many other areas in Illinois and Wisconsin. Not sure where the NY idea came from.
