Pamela Bellwood

Pamela Bellwood (born June 26, 1951) is an actress most famous for her role as "Claudia Blaisdel Carrington" on the primetime soap opera, Dynasty. Bellwood was born Pamela King in New York City in 1945. She studied with Sanford Meisner at the New York City Playhouse. In her early days of acting she was credited as Pamela Kingsley. Bellwood was an original cast member of Dynasty during its pilot season in early 1981 and remained a regular cast member until late 1982 when she left the show for a season. She returned a year later, remaining a key character for several seasons. Bellwood finally left the series in 1986 to become a full-time mother. Twenty years later in 2006, Pamela Bellwood appeared alongside her former Dynasty castmates in Dynasty Reunion: Catfights & Caviar.
Bellwood also appeared in the films Airport '77 and The Incredible Shrinking Woman, as well as a number of TV movies. She is currently married to photographer Nick Wheeler and continues to perform in film and on stage. Often she is now known and credited as both Pamela Bellwood and Pamela Bellwood-Wheeler.
