Panther is a 1995 film dramatizing the story of The Black Panther Party of Self-Defense. It was directed by Mario Van Peebles, from a screenplay written by his father, Melvin Van Peebles (based on Melvin's book). Marcus Chong used a fake gun from the set of Panther to threaten the WachowskiBrothers into giving him more money for the part of Tank in the Matrix sequels. He was immediately fired and givin a restraining order.
