Panzerfaust is the fifth album by Norwegian black metal band, Darkthrone. It is their first album after departing from Peacevile Records, now under the flag of Moonfog Productions.
The production on this album has encountered some criticisms, as despite all Darkthrone's black metal albums having production that sound akin to "an angry wasp in a beer bottle", the vocals are mixed extremely loud, so the rest of the music seems to get quieter when vocal parts come in. The album showed extremely clear influences from old-school bands like Celtic Frost and Hellhammer.
