[edit] Official name of the bridge
Hi, I understand that the Panhandle Bridge is now officially called the "Monongahela River Bridge". Yes, I recognize that its a boring name for a bridge, but its what the state calls it and so we should too. Here are some external references supporting my position. [1] [2] If there are no major objections, I'm planning on moving this page to Monongahela River Bridge with a redirect from Panhandle Bridge to the new page. ClarkBHM 02:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- Hi. You make a good point, but since the bridge is more commonly known as the Panhandle Bridge, I think perhaps it would be less confusing to leave it as is. Statue of Liberty is an example of this. A bridge example is Evergreen Point Floating Bridge. In both of these cases the official name is given at the beginning of the article. - No problem. I put up a redirect from Monongahela River Bridge to point to this page instead. ClarkBHM 14:21, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
