[edit] New userboxes
I have deleted a userbox template you recently created, as userboxes should no longer be created in templatespace per the terms of the German userbox solution. Here is the userbox code so that you can recreate the userbox in your userspace ("userfying") if you wish.

{| cellspacing="0" style="width: 238px; background: #009900;" | style="width: 45px; height: 45px; background: white; text-align: center; font-size: {{{5|{{{id-s|14}}}}}}pt; color: {{{id-fc|#009900}}};" | '''[[Image:Recycle001.svg|Recycled user|45px]]''' | style="font-size: {{{info-s|8}}}pt; padding: 4pt; line-height: 1.25em; color: {{{info-fc|white}}};" | This user is a recycled '''[[Wikipedia:Vandalism|Vandal]]'''. |}

[edit] Film titles
Hi, noticed your edit on Seven Samurai and others to give them their 'real' titles, i.e. in Japanese. Unfortunately I don't have the appropriate Kanji plugins or whatever I need to see these characters, so I only see lots of ???? in their place. (using Firefox, Win XP). I expect I'm not the only one. As this is the English Wikipedia, shouldn't the titles be left in English? I've started a discussion on the Seven Samurai talk page if you want to respond. --duncan 16:53, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- ho i see your point, thanks, i'll figure it out. Paris By Night 21:08, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- i left a note about how fixing your ???? problem and why i changed some Japanese work titles. Paris By Night 21:48, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] M.A.S.K.
I can't speak to the first source you cited, but the second source DOES NOT link M.A.S.K. and Studio Junio. No one's questioning the fact that the show was produced overseas, just by who. JPG-GR 17:23, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- After running a translation on the first source, I can find any link there either referring to Studio Junio. Care to elaborate? JPG-GR 17:25, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
- Care to use google by yourself or do I have to waste my time spoon-feeding you?! Paris By Night 12:42, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is not a search engine, it is an encyclopedia. It's purpose is not to be a hub from which other people can do their own research. And, I would recommend that you read WP:NPA. JPG-GR 16:23, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ha! And how this encyclopedia is supposed to be filled without copyright infringment nor personal research then? Anyway your previous answer was aggressive, so I guess you haven't red the NPA neither. Paris By Night 14:45, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] RATM
The main reason I removed your edit is that I can't stand Wikipedia arguing with itself--if you think RATM's combination of rap and metal is not notable, take it out rather than adding a phrase that suggests that the phrase before is wrong. Nareek 21:15, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- I see about "I can't stand Wikipedia arguing with itself". Paris By Night 11:42, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
When I looked at the rapcore article, it listed Faith No More along with half a dozen other bands that had mixed rap and metal before what the article seemed to feel was the birth of rapcore itself. Maybe there's a better way to describe this, but I don't think your edit was it. Nareek 21:15, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- It's just because the article is wrong that's what I tried to explain you. FNM is the last band listed while it was among the first one to do rap-metal, and the reason is other bands were older than FNM but they did a different genre of music than rap-metal, actually FNM came in 1985 but did rap-metal since its beginning (before Patton joined) unlike earlier bands, I've quoted on your talk page. Other reason is FNM are underrated, they always were. Paris By Night 11:42, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Not to get off on a side argument, but "Walk This Way" seems like a pretty important moment for the combination of rap and metal. It's not like RUN-DMC just happened to be in a studio where Aerosmith was playing; somebody--and I'm guessing it was RUN-DMC--had the idea that these were two great tastes that would taste great together. Nareek 21:15, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Date verification is needed for "Walk This Way". However I don't think a single hit alone is that important. Paris By Night 11:42, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Done. "Walk This Way" rap-rock version is actually posterior to FNM's "We Care A Lot"! WTW w/Run DMC was recorded in 1986 while FNM's debut album was released in 1985, which makes FNM pioneer before Aerosmith/Run-DMC. The reason for FNM to be disregarded in the rapcore article is the band is just overlooked in the US & UK (which were probably focused on lyrics, instead of music, unlike other, non English-speaking, countries?!). Paris By Night 12:31, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Beastie Boys' Rap-Rock debut album was 1986 "Licensed to Ill" too (before they did hardcore punk), which makes them 2nd to FNM too. Paris By Night 12:31, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
