Patience Cleveland

Patience Cleveland (May 23, 1931 – May 27, 2004) was a New Hampshire-born American film and television actress. Cleveland died from cancer in Santa Monica, California, four days after her 73rd birthday.

Cleveland appeared on a number of television shows such as Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, That's Life, The Drew Carey Show, Angel, ER, and Green Acres, along with voice acting in other shows such as Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law. She also appeared in many TV commercials.
She is perhaps best known in recent times for portraying the reclusive Roberta Sparrow also known as "Grandma Death" in the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko.

- Graduated from Miss Porter's School and then Smith College, majoring in theatre under the direction of Hallie Flanagan.
- Played opposite Anthony Perkins on Broadway in Look Homeward, Angel and Maurice Evans in The Apple Cart.
- Wrote and published The Lion Is Busy, a children's book in 1963 to strong notice.
