Paul Andrew Rogers (born September 29, 1973 in Adelaide, South Australia) is an Australian basketballer currently playing in the National Basketball League. Rogers has had stints with both the Adelaide 36ers and the Perth Wildcats, the latter of the two being his current team. Rogers has also competed in Europe for Casademont Girona and Real Madrid in Spain. He played U.S. college basketball at Gonzaga University, notably playing on the school's first-ever NCAA tournament team in 1995.
Rogers has represented Australia at the international level at two Olympic Games (2000, 2004), and in one FIBA World Championship (1998).
Injuries have affected Rogers' career on numerous occasions, including a stint in the NBA. Rogers was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 1997 and then traded to the Toronto Raptors, but never played a match.
Due to an impressive pre-season campaign in 2006, Rogers has become the captain of the Perth Wildcats for the 2006/07 NBL season [1]. In doing so he replaces fellow South Australian born Tony Ronaldson.
