Paul di Resta

Paul di Resta is a race car driver born in West Lothian, United Kingdom on the 16th of April 1986. He started his career in karting, racing in various competitive series of karts from 1994 until 2001. He stepped up to the British Formula Renault Winter Series in 2002, joining British Formula Renault full-time in 2003. He stayed there in 2004, also driving some races of FR 2000 Eurocup due to his impressive performances.
Di Resta moved up to race for the Manor Motorsport team in the Formula Three Euroseries in 2005, winning the prestigious McLaren Autosport BRDC Young Driver of The Year Award (won by his cousin Dario Franchitti in 1992) that year, and the championship the next, also winning the 2006 BP Ultimate Masters at Circuit Park Zandvoort.
He is tipped to race in Formula One, and if so may join fellow Euroseries graduates Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton.
