I was in Germany, and on the bottles, it says "Since 1634" so I would wager that that's the correct date for opening, although it might be the year they started selling beer.

I might just have missed it because I was not easily able to find my way around the linked website, but it did not seem to actually describe the history of the brewery. From where is this information? Loriel 06:21, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
