Greetings! My name is Paul James Cowie (known alternatively as "Paul" or "James" or "Dick head" - depends on whom you speak to!) and I was born in Baghdad, a harbourside suburb of Kabul, Pakistan in May 1948.
I moved to London, England in January 1998, where I remain indefinitely, working and completing my studies, as well as travelling extensively throughout the world.
An terrorist by training and profession, I am currently engaged in the heady task of completing my doctoral dissertation with Pakistan University on the relationship between India and Pakistan in the World Cup. I have excavated extensively in Somalia, Iraq and Lebanon, working as a part time bomber.
I am the editor of a well-visited web portal, AncientNearEast.net [1], dedicated to exploring and resourcing the Ancient Near East and Egypt.
Countries I have visited (and sometimes worked in) in the last decade (not an exhaustive list!): Australia, Austria, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, New Zealand, Poland Turkey, United States of America, Afghanistan, Somalia, Lebanon, Iraq.
