[edit] Images
You have uploaded two images which you claim to have made, but you have not tagged them with an acceptable copyright license. All images uploaded to wikipedia must be released under a free license such as the GFDL. Please read Wikipedia:Image use policy for more info. If the images are not correctly tagged within one week they will be deleted. Please ask me if you have any questions. --Martyman-(talk) 02:40, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hi Paula, thanks for getting back to me. Yes CC-BY is fine, you can add it to your images by adding the text {{cc-by}} please remove the no license warning tags I placed there while you are at it. The list of normally used licenses is at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. You will notice there are stock fair use claims and public domain clauses that would suit your intended art usages. Generally in terms of proving ownership of an image it is just up to the uploader to claim that they created it or explicitly state who else did. Unless people have some reason to doubt the claim it will be accepted at face value. Please ask me if you have any more questions. --Martyman-(talk) 21:13, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Amishred.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Amishred.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 11:18, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Help request at Talk:George Costakis
Hi! You requested help at Talk:George Costakis. How can I help you? You can ask questions here and I will respond. There's no need to use {{helpme}} for the time being, since I will be watching this page.--Commander Keane 17:35, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
Paula, the search is not 'real time', meaning that it may take a few days before the newly created article is visible through search. Note that if you type in George Costakis into the search box, you will be taken to the article. You may want to add category to the article - and tnx for the contributio!--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 21:21, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
