Peeblesshire (UK Parliament constituency)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peeblesshire was a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1708 until 1868, when it was combined with Selkirkshire to form Peebles and Selkirk. The constituency was again renamed in 1918 to Peebles and Southern, when Selkirk was combined with Roxburghshire to form Roxburgh and Selkirk. The constituency was abolished in 1950, when Peebles was added to Roxburgh, Selkirk and Peebles.
