Penn Foster College

Penn Foster College is one of the oldest and largest accredited distance education degree granting institutions in the United States. Established in 1977 and headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, the institution focuses on associate of science degrees in the fields of business, technology, health care, and the legal profession. Students can study online, in print, or in combination.
Accreditation
Penn Foster College is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. Penn Foster College is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.
The Independent Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council is listed by the Department of Education as a "nationally recognized accrediting agency." The Accrediting Commission is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
In addition, Penn Foster has been reviewed and approved as an Authorized Provider of continuing education and training programs by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).
