Peoria Academy

Peoria Academy is a private, independent, not-for-profit school located in Peoria, Illinois. Peoria Academy was founded in February 2000 by a core group of parents, faculty members and administrators, and currently serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
The current principal, Karen Calder is also one of the main founders of the private school and has been principal since the school opened in 2000. Her efforts plus the efforts of many staff and parents have created massive change, development and growth within the school. To date, the school has gone under massive growth and change during the few years it has been around; shifting from around 190+ students when it opened in 2000 to the 350+ the school has enrolled currently.
