In what sense do Peruvians as such constitute an ethnic group? Is there any anthropologist who considers them to constitute one? - Jmabel | Talk 23:48, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- I will answer to that with a question: In what sense do English as such constitute an ethnic group? -- Walter Humala Godsave him! (wanna Talk?) 23:29, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Language, ethnic homogeny with some minor regional variation, institutions, culture... Ftalkfanatico 20:49, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Peruvians as an "ethnic group"?
Isn't there a quote that says that Peruvians are, by some accident of history and geography, a mish-mash of people who don't have anything in common and wouldn't like to have anything to do with each other? Comparing Lima to the jungles, and the slums to the centre of the city would certainly confirm this. Ftalkfanatico 20:46, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's true they don't wanna have much in common but they actually do, besides the territory, almost all are from the same mixed races (mostly spaniards and indigenous). --Emperor Walter Humala · ( talk? · help! ) 19:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
