Peter Cousins
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peter Cousins was the computer scientist who created the first EAI product, "Geneva".
Understanding the limitations of the hub and spoke architecture, he recast the notion of integration using Web Services, and ESB approaches to distribute integration to the edge of the network, thereby greatly improving performance, security, reliability, transactional behavior, and ability to diagnose problems.
EAI is the dominant form of integration. Enterprise Service Bus / SOA architectures are still emerging.
