Peter Jacobs (born February 27, 1973) is a professional lacrosse player. Jacobs graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD in 1995. In his senior year, he was team captain of the Blue Jays was named first-team All-American in 1995 and lead his team to the Final Four.

[edit] Coaching career
On October 10, 2005 was hired by the New Jersey Pride as Head Coach. In his first season as Head Coach of team, the Pride posted a 5 - 7 record. Prior to this, he served as Offensive Coordinator for the team.
In addition, he has served as a Volunteer assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach for the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter Jacobs began his National Lacrosse League career in 1995 with the Rochester Knighthawks. In his second season he bounced between the Knighthawks and the Philadelphia Wings. Since 1997 he has played with the Philadelphia Wings making him currently one of the longest tenured professional athletes in Philadelphia sports.
Always one of the toughest faceoff men in the league, in the 2007 season Jacobs has split time with rookie Geoff Snider on face-offs.

Peter Jacobs retired after playing with the New Jersey Pride for three seasons. During his tenure he won 524 of 1,016 face-off draws ranking him among the best in the sport.
