Peter Parker (British businessman)

Sir Peter Parker KBE LVO (August 30, 1924 – April 28, 2002) was a British businessman.
Parker succeeded Sir Richard Marsh as chairman of the British Railways Board and served from 1976 to 1983. He guided the organisation through difficult times to the beginnings of the resurgence in train travel in the United Kingdom.
Educated at Bedford School, Parker was knighted in 1978 and awarded a KBE in 1993.
He is the father of the British actor Nathaniel Parker and the film director Oliver Parker.
