Peter T. Jones is a Director of Biffa specific responsibilities in external affairs and strategy development[1]. Peter has been a key figurehead in leading the UK Government's and waste industry's strategy to meet the challenges of the Landfill Directive.[2][3][4][5] He qualified from Nottingham University as an industrial economist in 1969. He is Chair of the Royal Society of Arts Environment Committee as a Fellow of that Society. He has also given evidence to a range of Parliamentary Select Committees over the years on the subjects of waste, sustainability, resource efficiency and other issues relating to future environmental challenges faced by society.
