PFC Pirin 1922 Blagoevgrad

PFC Pirin 1922 Blagoevgrad (ПФК Пирин 1922 Благоевград) is a Bulgarian football club from the town of Blagoevgrad, currently playing in the Bulgarian B Professional Football Group, the second division of Bulgarian football.
The club was founded as Granit Stara Kresna, then changed its name to Makedonska Slava ("Macedonian Glory") to imply a connection with the old Makedonska Slava (PFC Pirin Blagoevgrad), then playing its home matches in Simitli.
The team played a season in the top division as Makedonska Slava in the 2000s, then was relegated, but returned as Pirin 1922 for the 2005/06 season only to once again return to the B PFG because "business" problems.
