[edit] Oaks images by Zubron
I've listed selected images uploaded by Zubron. There are oak photos with some man in the foreground. Due to this persona presence, these photos are (in my opinion) unencyclopedical and they are better fit to a family-photo album. I suggest to delete them and/or move out from articles. Here is the list:
- Image:Oak in Bialowieza1(Dominator Oak).jpg
- Image:Oak in Bialowieza1(The Jagiełło Oak).jpeg
- Image:Oak in Bialowieza1('Tsar' Oak).jpg
- Image:Oak in Bialowieza2(Barrel Oak).jpg

- For me having a person in the photo is actually useful, as it provides a sense of scale. One could of course just put a meter stick in the photo somewhere, but would that look better? Balcer 22:26, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

- Yes, for sure. As is the person included in these photos, somebody can compare human with size of a tree. After cogitate your point I support photos, where this comparison is sensible (eg. Image:Oak in Bialowieza3(Oak Emperor of the South).jpg). But consider existing photos, such as Image:Oak in Bialowieza1(Great Mamamuszi).jpg, Image:Oak in Bialowieza1(Oak Emperor of the South).jpg. In my humble opinion, there is no meaning of these photos. Visor 23:13, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Foo.jpg
This image needs to be renamed to something less generic, I couldn't figure out how to do so. Is it even possible? - PxT 18:51, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- I believe you have to download the picture, upload it under the name you want, redirect the old page to the new (probably not necessary in this case), and copy over the image history as text into the description. --ʀ6ʍɑʏ89 06:04, 23 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Unidentified flowers
From the leftovers of Wikipedia. These flowers from Belize aren't named yet. [[User:Poccil|Peter O. (Talk)]] 15:22, Oct 13, 2004 (UTC)
[edit] The Logo
I'm not that much of a graphics person, as this shows, but the logo is a view of a 3D object. I know it's a subtle touch and my clicks in paint are inadequte for the front page, but shouldn't we be able to see the lines on the back side of the puzzle peices? Who ~really~ does graphics on the wiki? -- Dbroadwell 06:39, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)

- Sorry, had to un-thumb this, at thumb size you can't see what i'm showing. -- Dbroadwell 06:42, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- I'd abandon this, becaue this seems as if it us done for a better look or whatever. --PhilippWeissenbacher 17:18, July 17, 2005 (UTC)
- Maybe the 'back side' of the sphere puzzle is less complete (or has been dismantled even more) than the top. Hence, the 'lines' are not seen from this viewpoint. Image looks fine to me. --Cactus.man 10:56, 1 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Nauton_Park.jpeg
I uploaded this image and plan to use it - however Nauton should be spelt 'Naughton'. How can I fix this?

[edit] Surrey shield.jpg
This is an image of the Surrey Coat of Arms. After a bit of prodding around, I found a few other versions (including a better one). Is there a standard procedure for dealing with this situation (i.e. using the best looking/least copyrighted version)? Full details here. - Chris Bradshaw 23:01, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
