Pierre Charles Bouvier (May 9 1979 in Montréal,Quebec) is the lead singer of the Canadian pop band Simple Plan. Before and partly during his musical career, Bouvier worked as a youth in a barbecue restaurant in his hometown of Montréal as a cook. At age 15, he founded the punk/rock band Reset with his schoolmate Chuck Comeau, in which he was the lead singer and bassist. Dissatisfied with the artistic direction of the band, Bouvier helped to found Simple Plan, of which he is the frontman and lead singer and is, along with Comeau, a principal songwriter for the band. The band's originial bassist (a position he yielded to David Desrosiers when the latter joined the band), in live performance, he sometimes plays guitar (electric and acoustic) for certain songs. He also hosted a show on MTV called Damage Control, which has since ended its run as originally planned.
