Pinolenic acid
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pinolenic acid is a fatty acid contained in the Korean Pine nut and other pine nut varieties. The highest percentage of pinolenic acid is found in Siberian pine nuts and their oil.
Recent research has shown its potential use in weight loss by curbing the appetite. Pinolenic acid causes the triggering of two hunger suppresants—cholecystokinin and glucagon-like peptides.
