Wikipedia is a free-content encyclopedia written in 250 languages by thousands of users like you and me from all walks of life. As a member of the Welcoming Committee, I would like to say thanks for being a part of this project.
Here are some links to help you, the new user, on your Wikipedia journey: Whether you're new to the project or have helped us for a while, remember to use edit summaries when you're done with a page. Summaries are important because, with those, other editors will understand what you have done with the content. REMEMBER: think twice before clicking "Save page" below the editing box, since whatever you write in the summary box will permamently go in the history of any page. (Spellchecking is important; you cannot change the summary data after you have finished editing.) Remember, also, to sign your name with four tildes (~~~~) or by pressing this button ( If you want to know how you're doing on Wikipedia, feel free to check out your list of contributions. If you don't know how to do something, type {{helpme}} on your talk page, and administrators will come to solve your problems. After you've stayed here for a while, you might want to take an editor review, or, even better, take a chance at adminship. Wherever the journey takes you, I wish you the best of luck and respect on Wikipedia. If you have any questions about my expertise or this site, you can e-mail me or talk to me, and I will see about the situation as best as possible. In the meantime, happy editing! |
[edit] List of Desperate Housewives episodes
I've reverted your changes to List of Desperate Housewives episodes, episode lists are by standard formatted that way, the length of the DH LOE at the moment is quite small and thus it does not require splitting off. You're welcome to discuss it on the talk page, however, if you believe an individual article should be created. Matthew 10:49, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:List_guideline#References_for_list_items - Please see that, reputable sources will be required if you wish to add definitions such as "recurring" and for when they appear. Matthew 16:57, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed on "recurring" - that was a term that had been slipping thru the edits and ought to be removed - still; "Starring", "Also Starring" and "Guest Starring" are very valid terms. If there are suggestions that these terms don't ought to be included we need an agreement on that matter; see the talk page. Pjär80 22:18, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- This is not how articles/lists are constructed, we are not attempting to replicate the intro credits, "also starring" is just the same as "starring", You are still new so I'll put "Keep within Wikipedia order of action and discuss any deletings" down to naiveness. The burden of proof lies with those seeking to include, not with those wishing to remove. Matthew 22:31, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, but the fact that "starring" and "also starring" are the same thing is just your POV. As of proof it already exist on Wikipedia - just read the individual episode articles. Pjär80 22:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- I really don't know what you're saying as I do not understand you, however the only definition Wikipedia makes is the stars and guest stars, none of the "also starring", "and" junk television intros use to make it grammatically correct. Matthew 09:22, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
