[edit] County
On the "Collin County" page, it says that Plano also extends into an "adjacent county." I wasn't aware of that, and when I checked here, the only county mentioned is Collin. Am I right in thinking that the error is on the "Collin County" page?
- No, the Collin County page is correct. Plano extends into Denton County. Chfowler 01:59, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I was originally just going to remove the word "Plano" for being redundant, but then I read the section. And come on, what is it about? Not the headlines themselves; it's about suicide and heroin. Melchoir 07:11, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Dr. Pepper/7-Up
Ok, I did some more checking, and it's even a bit more complicated. Dr. Pepper/7-Up, Inc. is a subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages, which is itself a unit of Cadbury Schweppes plc, a U.K. company. The sign on the building on Legacy Dr. says Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages. Both Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages and Dr. Pepper/7-Up, Inc. are listed as being headquartered at the same address in Plano. Chfowler 05:12, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
- I think how it's presented now is just fine. If anything, let's wait until Cadbury sorts it out. --Kevin 07:18, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Schools/education
I've noticed that with many other city sites, they have an extremely extensive list of schools, education standards, and the like. I know there is already a site for PISD, but should we make a brief mention of our system, and then refer them to the main article? Just a thought.--Kevin 07:18, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] sports teams
Did Plano, Tex. had a team in the American Basketball Association (21st century) or some other basketball league? They were the Plano Diamond Dogs and played in the city arena (forgot the name of it). Somebody please help me find the web link and add the Plano Diamond Dogs on the list of "defunct ABA teams". + 207.200.116.69 06:59, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Notable residents
Perhaps this list should be alphabetized. Also, I know we are supposed to assume good faith, but does the "Keith Haynie" entry seem to be a plug to anyone other than me? Please discuss and enlighten us as to why his name is notable. Noneus 00:09, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
