- And, another non-notable school district. - Lucky 6.9 16:50, 14 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- People may form an emotional attachment to a school. I do not see the same rule applying to school districts. Delete unless otherwise notable. Rossami 18:35, 14 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- If high schools are considered notable enough to keep, then the school districts that contain them should be notable enough to keep as well. Otherwise it'd be like deleting articles about US States while keeping the articles about counties. -- Cyrius|✎ 19:21, 14 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- With these non-notable schools where not much is said about them, they should be combined into a single article, with the above High School in the article on the School District or, in the more clearcut case of a schools in a single municipality under something more general like "Springfield public schools" or "Springfield secondary schools". Both of these articles contain information that should be exchanged. The information in the High School should be moved to the School District, and the high school redirected to the School District or deleted altogether. - Centrx 21:00, 15 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Keep - disk is cheap. - TB 23:50, Jun 14, 2004 (UTC)
- It's not about disk space being cheap. It's about there being junk in an encyclopedia or clicking the Random page link or there being articles that no one is interested in so they aren't maintained/protected against vandalism and, more problematically, incorrect information. The "disk is cheap" argument justifies allowing all sorts of things, and allowing this place to become like Everything2, and filled with vandalism and incorrect information, with too few editors proportional to the number of articles. The disk is cheap argument justifies not removing things that are interesting and maintained, just because we need to fit within 26 volumes of print or whatever. I do think schools should be kept, but this is just not a good argument in favor of it. - Centrx 21:00, 15 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- Okay, rephrasing - the namespace surrounding the string "Pleasant Valley School District" is sparsely populated - and therefore cheap. IMHO, the benefit of having an article on this subject outweighs the increase in effort required by a user to find what they're looking for. Disk space is irrelevant. - TB 11:37, Jun 18, 2004 (UTC)

- Exactly, Centrx. If we choose to keep everything, eventually we'll be able to find nothing. Denni☯ 03:02, 2004 Jun 16 (UTC)
- But a school district article is an organizational tool that makes it easier to keep the various school articles straight. -- Cyrius|✎ 03:07, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)
- A problem which is obviated by including everything (which is to say, not much) in the School District article, and delete or redirect everything else to there. - Centrx 21:40, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)

- Has anyone considered doing a poll on whether to include schools and school districts as a matter of course? Exploding Boy 05:27, Jun 17, 2004 (UTC)

- Ok, but most of that discussion is quite old. It seems to have come to a standstill. I mean, I presume the point of the poll was to create a policy? So...? Exploding Boy 03:12, Jun 19, 2004 (UTC)
