[edit] Plot
The death of a relative brings a Thai-American couple, Wit and Dang back to Bangkok for the first time in many years. They arrive at their hotel room, and Wit goes to the lobby to buy some cigarettes. While unpacking their luggage, his wife Dang discovers a small paper with a phone number of a woman named Oye. Though she knows Wit has never been unfaithful, Dang feels strange. In the lobby, Wit meets Ploy, a young woman waiting for her mother. He invites her to rest in his and his wife's room, arousing even more feelings of suspicion and jealously with Dang.[2]

[edit] Production
Production began in February 2007. In March 2007, Fortissimo Films announced it would be executive producer of the film along with Five Star Production. Fortissimo will take care of international sales for the film, while Five Star handles distribution in Thailand.[3]
The film reunites Pen-Ek Ratanaruang with Thai cinematographer Chankit Chamnivikaipong, who had photographed his first three films, Fun Bar Karaoke, Ruang Talok 69 and Monrak Transistor, before Pen-Ek collaborated with Christopher Doyle on Last Life in the Universe and Invisible Waves. It also is a reunion for Pen-Ek and Lalita Panyopas, who starred in the 1999 crime comedy-drama Ruang Talok 69, also known as 6ixtynin9. Ploy is budgeted at around US$2 million.[3][1]
