- Skeeter Thompson was the bassist of Grohl's old band Scream.
- Geoff Turner contributed to some of the songwriting. Two minutes into "Winnebago" one can hear Grohl saying, "Thanks for the lyrics, Geoff."
- A re-recorded version of "Color Pictures of a Marigold" was released as a b-side of Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box single, titled simply "Marigold". It was later re-released on the 2004 box set With the Lights Out. A third version of the song was released on the Foo Fighters live album, Skin and Bones in 2006.
- A remixed version of "Just Another Story About Skeeter Thompson" appears on Buzz Osborne's solo EP King Buzzo as "Skeeter".
- A re-recorded version of "Winnebago" was released as a b-side of Foo Fighters' This Is a Call single.
- A re-recorded version of "Friend of a Friend" was released on the acoustic side of Foo Fighters' 2005 album, In Your Honor. The Foo Fighters also recorded a version of the song for a 1997 BBC Evening Session. The song is also included on both the Skin And Bones CD and DVD recorded on the Foo Fighters 2006 acoustic tour
