Point Village

The Point Village (Irish: Sráidbhaile an Phointe) is a planned new 'city quarter' for Dublin, Ireland.
As part of the development, the following things will be built; a 120m skyscraper (called the 'Watchtower') with around 150 apartments, 500m² of office space and a rooftop bar, a 23,000m² shopping centre, a 250-room 4-star hotel, 13,000m² of offices, a 3-story underground car park with capacity for 1,000 vehicles, a 12-screen cinema, expansion of the 'Point Depot' into a 15,000-seater arena with one of the biggest stages in Europe and the 'U2 Experience' museum (similar to the Beatles Museum in Liverpool).
There will be excellent transport links to the Village. The terminus of the new 'C' line of the Luas light rail system will be located in the middle of the development (the 'C' line will be 1.5km long and will have 4 stops, eventually connecting to the already built 'Red' line of the system). This Luas link will connect the Point Village to many other transport options - including the DART, suburban rail, Dublin Metro, Busáras and mainline rail. The Dublin Port Tunnel is also located nearby.
The 'Point Village' will be complete by 2009 at a cost of €800,000,000; and will employ around 2,000 people.
