Port Robinson Road
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Port Robinson Road is a thriller–drama film in early development out of Canada. The film has been in early development for several years from filmmaker Dave McRae. The film is based on true events from Dave McRae's second year of college back in November of the year 2000. McRae wanted to bring the story to life almost immediately after he left college in April of 2001. He tried on several occasions for several years to sit down and write a compelling story he felt he could bring to life. However, he failed many times and finally shelved the project. It wasn't until March of 2005 when McRae was home alone one night watching a television program about the supernatural and paranormal, he decided to try again.
It seemed to work this time and with in weeks McRae had developed a 32 page outline and treatment. Over the next 2 years, McRae would pay close attention to developing the screenplay and production package. [edit] Inspirations and influences
Dave McRae firmly believes in the case of horror and thriller, it's never what you actually see, it's what you think you see. McRae is a big fan of directors John Carpenter, Wes Craven and Steven Spielberg and believes they honor this belief almost better than anyone.
