Portuguese Rapid Reaction Brigade

The Brigada de Reacção Rápida (Rapid Reaction Brigade), is a unit part of the Portuguese Army made of other several sub-units with the purpose of responding to threats with fast deployment. Until 2006, it was known as BAI - Brigada Aerotransportada Independente (Independent Airborne Brigade).

The Rapid Reaction Brigade is made of the following units:
- Airborne Support Battalion/ETP - School of Parachute Troops (Escola de Tropas Páraquedistas)
- Special Operations Battalion/CTOE - Special Operations Troops Center (Centro Tropas Operações Especiais)
- Commando Battalion/CTC - Commando Troops Center (Centro Tropas Comando)
- 2 Paratrooper Infantry Battalions (made of units from the IR15 and IR10 )
