Porno for Pyros was not a solo project. It was a band. It featured ex-Jane's Addiction's drummer Al Perkins as well as guitarist Peter DiStefano and basist Martyn LeNoble. Nahum 05:40 18 Jul 2003 (UTC)

Porno for Pyros (named after the orgy of destruction that was the Los Angeles/Rodney King riots) -- I am wondering if that is indeed accurate. I have other information (no reliable attribution right now, however), that Ferrell was browsing a pyrotechnics catalog when the name came to him. I saw an interview on MTV in Singapore and I believe you are right, the name came to him while browsing a pyrotechnics catalogue when he showed it to the others and said hey its "Porno for Pyros" the name stuck --CJ Aussie 15:23, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
