The Notre-Dame de Montréal Basilica in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is a prime example of Gothic Revival architecture. It was completed in 1879, at which time it was the largest church in North America. In 1982, Pope John Paul II raised the status of the church to basilica. Photo credit: Diliff |
