The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is the Central Public Sector of Indian Government engaged in construction, operation and maintenance of high voltage transmission lines in India. It recently diversified into the telecommunications sector and its presence is being felt abroad in the power transmission sector.Powergrid is the central transmission utility of India.
