"To his followers, Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj is the fifth spiritual successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan"
Is there any proof of this? In the Wiki Swaminarayan article it states that BAPS are a break away faction, so how can Pramukh be the successor of anything, let alone Bhagwan Swaminarayan Himself? Bhudiya 00:14, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

What do you mean to say by that? So to his “followers” he is a successor To Bhagwan Swaminarayan but in reality he is not the authentic successor like Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s direct descendents.
It is very funny how people have the guts to say anything negative about such a holy Man. If there is a person with no faults, no impurities, and most of all, no wrong doings, is he/she considered to be perfect? Is he/she beyond human? In Pramukh Swami's case, he is beyond human, one with God, the perfect living example of a true loyal servant of God. Everything about him leads to happiness, everything he does, he does for God... HE is, by far, characterized perfectly when he is mentioned as the fifth successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan! -
BY the way... how would all the things that he accomplishes, through the will of God, happen if it weren't through direct help from God. If he was a fake, then why does everything in that sampraday continue to prosper? How come more and more people devote their lives to Pramukh Swami and Lord Swaminarayan and attain peace at heart and salvation. He is the true successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan! Its not really a question of people saying negative things about him, more of a question of how authentic he is because the approach you have taken to speak of him you make him sound some what higher than a human being, I quote “If there is a person with no faults, no impurities, and most of all, no wrong doings, is he/she considered to be perfect” and than you added “In Pramukh Swami's case, he is beyond human, one with God, the perfect living example of a true loyal servant of God” this is a pure point of view and even if this was the case which it is not there would be people like him popping up all over world, would you say they are all in the same line as God? E.G Mother Tereser, Mahatma Ghandiji and Princes Diana etc would you start preying to them just because of the work they have done for mankind?

Article reads almost entirely like a tract. Lines like "The sole reason behind his unique success is a deep and fluent communion with God" are by their nature controversial and, stated as fact, are not appropriate for Wikipedia. -- Richfife 15:18, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
