Category:Pre-Reformation UK bishops
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Most bishoprics in the Anglican Church of England, the Church in Wales and the Scottish Episcopal Church merely continue a line of succession of Roman Catholic bishops, these dioceses having seceded to the Church of England upon the English and the Scottish Reformations. Some new dioceses and bishoprics have been formed in the UK by the Roman Catholic church since then, particularly since its re-establishment after Catholic Emancipation - these are listed at Category:Post-Reformation UK Catholic bishops.
