Pre-Electric Wizard 1989-1994 is a compliation of rare tracks by doom metal band Electric Wizard. The first four tracks are by Eternal (Electric Funeral is a Black Sabbath cover)and are from the 1993 "Lucifer's Children" demo, 5-7 are by Thy Grief Eternal and are from the 1992 "On Blackened wings" demo. 8-11 are by Lord of Putrefecation and are from the 1991 "Wings From a Black Funeral" demo and the 1991 split with Mortal Remains.
Eternal more or less sound like a demo version of the first Electric Wizard album and the Chrono.Naut EP. Thy Grief Eternal sound like a slow, doom/death band with more doom tendencies and grunting vocals. Lord of Putrefecation also sound doom/death, but more like a death metal band with doom tendencies and with death metal vocals.
The first seven songs (Along with two unknown jams) were given out on a CD by the Music Cartel in the late 90s to promote Electric Wizard and was entitled "Thy Grief Eternal". Chrono.Naut also cut off at 10:20 on this particular promo.
