"Pretty Flamingo" is the name of a song written by Mark Barkan. It became a hit in 1966 when Manfred Mann released it as a single. The song describes a woman, referred to by "the guys" as "Flamingo" because she wears a "crimson dress that clings so tight," for whom the singer has fallen, and his plans to win her affection. It also features future Cream bassist Jack Bruce, who briefly joined the band in 1965.
The song has been remade by such notable artists as Bruce Springsteen, The Everly Brothers, Rod Stewart, and Les McCann. In 1987, Australia's Huxton Creepers released their remake as a single.
