Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević, (b. January 15, 1982 in Fairfax, Virginia) is a member of the Yugoslav Monarchy.
He is the son of Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia and Princess Maria da Gloria of Orléans-Braganza, and the fraternal twin of Prince Philip of Yugoslavia. He would be third in the line to the Throne after his elder brother, Prince Peter of Yugoslavia. Alexander's paternal grandparents were Peter II of Yugoslavia and Alexandra of Greece, daughter of Alexander I of Greece and Aspasia Manos, who trace their patrilineal from George I of Greece to the Komnenos and their matrilineal from Olga Konstantinovna of Russia to the Romanovs. His maternal grandparents are Prince Pedro Gastão of Orléans-Braganza and Princess Maria de la Esperanza of Bourbon-Two Sicilies. His Godparents are Queen Sofia of Spain, Constantine II of Greece, and Anne, Duchess of Calabria.
Alexander lived in Virginia until 1984. He attended school in London with his twin brother. In June 2000, he graduated from King’s School Canterbury. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media from the University of San Francisco in 2004.
On July 17, 2001, the Royal Family took up residence in the Beli Dvor in Belgrade. His ancestry among medieval monarchs of the Balkans is presented at Nemanjic pedigree of the Royal House of Yugoslavia. Alexander is 93st in line for succession to the British throne.
