This article needs a rewrite, and a lot less crap that seems to be contributed by some super-nerd whose overclocked computer just passed Prime95. But seriously, it should have less stuff about how much better Prime95 is than all other things. 74.134.225.63 06:30, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Although it is hard to judge precisely how many people use Prime95 as a stability test, the adoption is almost universal. Most, if not all of the overclockers and people who want to make sure their computer is completely reliable are using or have used Prime95 in the past.
is by itself reason enough to rewrite this article. Maybe someone who worked on development or marketing for Prime95 can add something constructive, rather than this overclocker's self-flagellation. 199.121.156.50 03:45, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

I think the limits section is wrong or at least confusing. Does the author really mean exponents of 2^79oooooo, or mersenne numbers of this size?
In http://www.mersenne.org/whatsnew.txt we read that exponents of up to 500 million are supported.
And acronyms like "gpu" should be explained. if it means "graphical p.u." i'm not sure if this is true, either. — MFH:Talk 13:38, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
