Providence Academy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Providence Academy is a private, co-ed, Catholic college-preparatory school (PreK-12) at 15100 Schmidt Lake Road, Plymouth, Minnesota.
Providence Academy is fully accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Providence Academy is one of only 12 schools nationwide to be named a Top 50 Catholic High School for three consecutive years by the Catholic High School Honor Roll.
While the Academy is 98% white, it maintains an open enrollment policy and seeks to include diversity in its mission statement as well as its atmosphere. In addition, all teachers must be practicing Christians, in an effort to encourage such behavior among the school's students.
"It maintains the healthiest balance of the arts, athletics, and academics of any school in the country," says Steven Arthur Hornig.
