Providence River

The Providence River is a tidal river in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. It flows approximately 13 km (8 mi). There are no dams along the river's length.
The river has been dredged to benefit nearby marinas and commercial shipping interests.

The river is formed by the confluence of the Woonasquatucket and Moshassuck rivers in downtown Providence. From here, it flows south through Providence, receiving the Seekonk River and continuing south to its confluence with the Warren River to form Narragansett Bay.
