Talk:Proprietary company
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am to new a member to rename this page. The correct title should be Proprietary Companies.
What I have put down are the most important points. In my jurisdiction the corporations act is fairly light on these forms of corporations.
[edit] Proprietorships
The term 'proprietorship' is, as far as I know, a generic term referring to private ownership. 'Sole proprietorship' is "the oldest, most common, and simplest form of business organization."[1] Why, I wonder, is 'proprietary company', then, used in the manner here, to refer to a country-specific legal status? This is a legal term of art in australia, which is why it has been used here. I defintiely think the articles should be merged. 199.172.169.7 10:28, 15 March 2007 (UTC) Marcin
