Pseudopimelodidae is a small family of catfishes with 27 described species in five genera. These catfishes have wide mouths, small eyes, and bold markings, the latter leading them to be commonly known as bumblebee catfishes or dwarf marbled catfishes. They are restricted to freshwater in South America. The largest specimens reach 40 cm in length but most are much smaller. Some of these fish are popular aquarium fish.
