I'm really not all that interesting but here are the basic facts:

• I seem to be addicted to editing the William Rivers page. I'm a great admirer of his and think that he deserves recognition for all that he did

• I'm also a huge fan of First World War literature (and, indeed, any literature). My favourite poet is probably Sassoon (yet another link in the Rivers-chain)

• When I'm not on this website you can find me slaving away, trying as hard as I can to forget the eight million essays I have due in the next day... Currently at an all girls grammar school I'm making a step up next year to Somerville College, Oxford. This is a great leap for me because the college actually has MEN in it at a ratio of about 1:1 *shock horror*

• I shall be reading English Language and Literature at university- this is pretty useful as I can't read very well in any other language

• Having said that, I used to enjoy Latin because the Romans amuse me (it's as good a reason as any)

• I don't just work (although it seems that way sometimes). I'm a keen debator, Amnesty International member and school newsletter editor (this is turning into my Personal Statement) and I also enjoy horse riding and ice skating *aren't I exciting*

• I love all things satirical and am firmly of the belief that Oscar Wilde was reborn into Stephen Fry's body. I love them both
