Pueblo County is a county located in the U.S. state of Colorado. It was named for the Spanish word meaning "town" or "village". As of 2005, the population was over 150,000. It is part of the Pueblo, Colorado Metropolitan Statistical Area. The county seat is Pueblo.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 6,210 km² (2,398 mi²). 6,187 km² (2,389 mi²) of it is land and 23 km² (9 mi²) of it (0.38%) is water.

As of the census² of 2000, there were 141,472 people, 54,579 households, and 37,332 families residing in the county. The population density was 23/km² (59/mi²). There were 58,926 housing units at an average density of 10/km² (25/mi²). The racial makeup of the county was 79.47% White, 1.90% Black or African American, 1.59% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 12.93% from other races, and 3.38% from two or more races. 37.97% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 54,579 households out of which 31.50% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.10% were married couples living together, 13.30% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.60% were non-families. 26.60% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.10% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.04.
In the county the population was spread out with 25.80% under the age of 18, 9.40% from 18 to 24, 27.20% from 25 to 44, 22.40% from 45 to 64, and 15.20% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 95.80 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 92.50 males.
The median income for a household in the county was $32,775, and the median income for a family was $40,130. Males had a median income of $31,514 versus $22,967 for females. The per capita income for the county was $17,163. About 11.20% of families and 14.90% of the population were below the poverty line, including 19.70% of those under age 18 and 8.70% of those age 65 or over.
